Chef Dammy’s pastor, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah sues her for N20m in damages

Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah, the pastor of popular Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, has finally broken his silence after he was accused of trying to harm her.
Recall that Dammy expressed her concern for her life a few days ago and asked that her pastor be held accountable for the bullying and threats she was experiencing.

Reacting to the allegations, Prophet Adegoke sued Chef Dammy for N20 million naira in damages for defamation of character.
According to his lawyers, the prophet received messages from not less than 2 million people around the world, expressing their shock at the slanderous statements.
The statement issued read, in part:
“Our client is a renowned and respectable man of God whom God has been using to uplift and minister to the lives of so many people including you. He has built his name and reputation over the years and would not fold his hands while you drag his name through the mud/mire.Our dient has been inundated with several calls and messages from no fewer than two million people across the world expressing shock and awe with the defamatory statements you posted which is an imputation of crime against our client which has reduced him to nothing by those that accord him with so much respect.In view of the incalculable damage you have done to the good reputation of our client, we demand for a retraction of the libellous statement on all the social media particularly your Instagram page and two (2) widely read national dailies.Additionally, we are demanding for a sum of (Twenty Million Naira Only)N20,000,000:00 being Damages for the act of Defamation against our client.TAKE NOTICE that you have seven (7) days from the date of service of this letter on you, the date of service inclusive to comply with our demand.Fallure of which we shall not hesitate to seek a redress in the court of law.Please accept the assurances of our professional regards.”
