Popular Nigerian Comedian and Actor, Ayo Makun has explained why some celebrities are yet to go public with those they support in the 2023 general election.
According to AY, they run the risk of being blacklisted or attacked by ignorant thugs during election season, and most celebrities have become slaves to fear.
He further appealed to Nigerians to stop putting celebrities under pressure.
In his words;
“Most celebs have become slaves to fear during elections. Whenever they publicly take a stand on any political candidate of their choice, they are either BLACKLISTED or ATTACKED by clueless thugs who would do anything to secure their own interests. Stop putting them under pressure.”
In other news, Reality TV star, Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha, once again displayed her commitment towards building a better Nigeria as she recently took to the street to give out money to citizens with their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
Tacha, who has repeatedly lent her voice and platform towards sensitizing the Nigerian populace about the forthcoming election, decided to take it a step further by rewarding those who have PVC.
A video shared online captures the moment she stormed the street to meet random people and gifted them cash on the spot if they showed her their PVCs.
According to the brand influencer, she’s not giving out money because she has too much money but because she cares about the future of Nigeria, and wants other Nigerians to care as well.
She went on to urge people to vote with their conscience because they are not voting for themselves alone, but for their children and unborn children as well.
The 27-year-old businesswoman further stated that any eligible citizen who doesn’t have a PVC is one of the problems of this country.
