Why you should use the Tecno Phantom 9. (Phone Review)

TECNO PHANTOM 9 (Phone Review).

The TECNO Phantom 9 is an upgrade from the Phantom 8 that was launched in 2017. A lot of smartphones have come onto the market with triple-rear cameras and TECNO has responded to this trend with the launch of the Phantom 9 in 2019.

If you are familiar with this brand, the Phantom line-up is the top of the line model for every year although the previous upgrade was in 2017. Let’s take a look at the awesome specs and features.

Features / Specifications of the Tecno Phantom 9.

The Phantom 9 has an impressive 6.39 inches Amoled display, with an 84% screen to body ratio, using a waterdrop style notch which houses the selfie camera. The resolution is great with 1080 × 2340 pixels, great for watching movies and surfing the web.

Although we might have seen quite a number of phones with a similar design, the Phantom 9 comes with a sleek body and exotic feel. Just on the side of the phone, you can find the volume rocker and power buttons on standby. The MicroUSB 2.0 port and microphone slot are also strategically placed for easy access.

The back of the phone accommodates a vertical triple camera cut and an efficient LED flash. There is no fingerprint sensor behind the phone as it has been moved to the display screen which is a noticeable upgrade in features.

The front camera on the Tecno Phantom will fare well in low light. It has a solid 32MP selfie camera to take the best images, along with a Dual-LED flash. The triple camera unit is arranged beautifully on the back of the phone. The main camera is 16MP, supported by an 8MP ultra wide lens and another 2MP for the depth sensors.

With an Android 9 pie, it packages an inbuilt storage of 128GB, expandable up to 256GB so you don’t have to worry about space. Tecno has opted for a massive 6GB RAM which will encourage smooth operations and heavy-duty apps.

It also functions with a 2.35GHz Octa-core Processor (Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 chipset for rendering better graphics).

The Tecno Phantom 9 has provisions for dual-Nano simcards. Battery power is 3500mAh so you have to keep it charged up when you get the chance.

It is available in most unit stores for about 91,000 NGN (as at the time of publication of this article).
