TOPIC: Your Words Are Powerful (TREM Devotional 7 November 2022)

“A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. Proverbs 18:20-21 (KJV)

Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:

Be careful what you say because your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life. Speak only the mind of God, irrespective of the challenge or the pressure you are encountering. In Proverbs 6:2 the bible says, “You are ensnared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” You are taken captive by what you speak out. So, what are you saying concerning your life?

In the book of Genesis 17:5-15, God had to change the name of Abraham and Sarah. He said you are no more Abram or Sarai. Your names are changed because I don’t want you to abort what I have for you. Be calling yourself Abraham; the father of many nations and Sarah; a mother of nations.

Declare so to yourselves. Even though there is no evidence, speak it. And God said and God saw. What you say is what you see. If you say the wrong thing, you are not going to see the right thing.

As new creations, we must become brutal in the declarations of God’s word.

The word salvation carries with its preservation. It carries with it security, protection, prosperity, and abundance. Many of us have limited it only to save from sin. That is just a little fraction of it.

Hebrews 6:9 declares that there are a lot of things that accompany salvation. There are benefits that accompany salvation. Healing is part of it. Prosperity is part of it. Victory is part of it. Deliverance is part of it. But we must speak them out. We must declare them.

You will never catch Jesus speaking any negative thing. Every word He spoke carried power. But today we have allowed our circumstances to speak to us. So it is important, we must speak out with boldness and with authority.
