MESSAGE:

Many years ago, when I was still working in the University, a fellow lecturer gave his life to Christ and was filled with so much joy. He then he came to me one day and said he couldn’t understand what was happening to him as he was always filled with joy. I told him that it was the joy of the Lord and he should continue to enjoy it.

There is a special kind of joy that flows from within in the life of a new convert but unfortunately, some Christians lose it as they grow older in the faith due to over-familiarity with spiritual matters, worldliness and ultimately, sin. This joy is supposed to be permanent in ones life, nothing whatsoever should steal it from one because it is what keeps a Christian going, even when there are troubles or delayed promises.

Where do you stand today? Have you lost your joy of salvation? If you no longer feel this joy it is because you have left your first love. Therefore, ask the Holy Spirit for help today, so that your joy can be restored.
