TOPIC: Five Things You Won’t Find In Heaven

BIBLE TEXT: Job 11:7-9

”Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens above—what can you do? They are deeper than the depths below —what can you know? Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea.”

Our God is Great and Marvelous, He is a mysterious God. His Wisdom, Power and Essence surpasses all understanding. Today’s text reveals that we cannot fully understand the mysteries of the All-Powerful God because they are higher than the heavens, deeper than the grave, longer than the earth and wider than the sea.

Heaven is part of God’s mysteries that we can’t and will not fully understand until we arrive there. We cannot understand just how amazing Heaven is until we have the privilege of gaining access into it. It’s beauty far surpasses anything that could be imagined. However, the Bible gives some important information about Heaven.

There are about five things that will not be found in Heaven. The first thing is Sickness. According to 1 Corinthians 15:42-43, at the resurrection of the dead, the perishable shall be raised imperishable while the weak shall be raised in power. There won’t be any sickness because believers are going to get a new, perfect, spiritual body that can not be infected with any form of sickness.

In Heaven, there will be no Sorrow or Sadness. Revelation 21:4 says that God “will wipe every tear from their eyes”. This implies that weeping is not a lifestyle in the celestial city. When you get to heaven, there will be no more broken hearts, rejection, loneliness, grief, or heartache and the likes; such things don’t exist in Heaven.

Another thing you won’t find in Heaven is Suffering. In Revelation 7:16, the Bible says, “‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat”. This is amazing! It simply implies that everything you need shall be abundantly, adequately and appropriately supplied in heaven.

In Heaven, there will be no Sin. According to Jude 1:24, the Great Shepherd of the flock, Jesus Christ Himself, shall present us to God without fault and with great joy. This is made possible because Jesus Christ died on the cross and paid the penalty for all our sins. Therefore, when we see Him face to face, we shall be instantly and completely transformed to be like Him.

Finally, in Heaven there will be no Death. Life in Heaven is eternal and unending. Revelation 21:4 confirms that “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Beloved of God, the beauty and the joy of Heaven can in no way be compared with anything whatsoever here on earth. You can’t just afford to miss it. How well are you prepared to get there?
