WWE Raw Results – 5/4/20 (Final show before Money in the Bank, McIntyre vs. Murphy)

“Then. Now. Forever.” The leads us into the show.

A recaps last week’s contract signing for the Championship at in the PPV. Murphy returned, but ate a Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre.

The Raw plays, and we go into the Performance Center. Tonight, Champion Drew McIntyre will take on Murphy in a non-title match.

The in the briefcases are shown about the ring. MVP is in the ring for another edition of the VIP Lounge. MVP welcomes everyone back to the VIP Lounge. Last week things went a little sideways. It was a special episode with the Raw competitors in the Men’s in the Ladder Match. It didn’t go to plan unless the plan was to destroy the VIP Lounge. Tonight we’re getting some class back with the women, but maybe not after what happened last week.

Package: Asuka, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler destroyed each other last week on Raw

Asuka, Shayna Baszler, and Nia Jax are each introduced to the VIP Lounge. Jax says she is dominant and will destroy her opponents this Sunday. Asuka shouts about Japanese and says something about Jax having a big booty. MVP asks Shayna Baszler how her skills will help her win in the . Baszler says she does all her talking with her actions. That is the biggest difference between her and every other competitor in the match. Asuka shouts at Baszler and gets up. Baszler mocks her and they approach each other before knocking Jax over and through a table. MVP keeps them separated.

Footage is shown of Apollo Crews injuring his knee in a match against Andrade. Crews was removed from the in the Ladder Match.

We’ll have a Last Chance Gauntlet Match to determine the final entrant in the Men’s Money in the Ladder Match. Bobby Lashley will start the Gauntlet Match, next.

Last Chance Gauntlet Match
Bobby Lashley vs. Titus O’Neil

The bell rings, and they circle the ring before locking up. They tussle around the ring for position until Lashley knees him. O’Neil punches him back to the corner and chops the chest. Lashley quickly fights back and Spears him down for the elimination.

Bobby Lashley vs. Akira Tozawa

Tozawa starts off hot with a spin kick to the face and a missile dropkick. Lashley doesn’t leave his feet. Tozawa hits the ropes, but Lashley Spears him down for another elimination.

Bobby Lashley vs. Shelton Benjamin

Benjamin quickly attacks Lashley, goes to the top rope, and hits a blockbuster. Lashley quickly fights back and sends him into the ropes, but Benjamin holds on. Benjamin pulls the top rope down to get Lashley out of the ring. Benjamin knees him in the face and knocks him off the apron. Lashley quickly fights back and drives Benjamin into the barricade twice. Lashley continues to drive him into the barricade before putting him in the ring. Lashley goes for a Spear, but Benjamin leapfrogs him. Lashley blocks a kick, but Benjamin comes back with a spin kick. Lashley quickly charges and Spears him down for the elimination.

Bobby Lashley vs. Humberto Carrillo

-Commercial Break-

We join this match in progress with Lashley dominating Carrillo. Carrillo fights back and kicks Lashley in the face before hitting a missile dropkick. Carrillo hits a rolling thunder standing moonsault for a near fall. Carrillo goes to the top rope, but Lashley cuts him off and slams him off the top. Lashley avalanches Carrillo in the corner and chokes him with his boot. Lashley punches away at Carrillo and stomps him down in the corner. The referee warns him that he’s in danger of being disqualified. Lashley argues with him, so the referee disqualifies him.

Humberto Carrillo defeated Bobby Lashley via DQ in the Last Chance Gauntlet Match

Lashley angrily attacks Carrillo and hits him with a Spear. More referees run down and tell Lashley to get out.

Humberto Carrillo vs. Angel Garza w/ Zelina Vega

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Garza attacking Carrillo in the corner. Carrillo fights him off and goes to the second rope, but Garza kicks the feet out and attacks. Garza rips his pants off and drops a leg on Carrillo’s midsection. Garza dropkicks him in the face for a two count. Garza ties Carrillo up in a submission.

We go backstage to see Bobby Lashley looking furious. Lana says she should have been out there to help. Lashley just walks off.

Back in the ring, Carrillo fights out, but Garza knees him in the face. Garza hits a slingshot inverted suplex followed by a superkick for a near fall. Carrillo soon boots him back and hits a running hurricanrana. Carrillo follows up with a dropkick for a near fall. Carrillo goes for a standing moonsault, but Garza gets the knees up and covers, but he only gets a near fall. Garza is frustrated. Garza applies a camel clutch to his cousin. Garza ties him up in another submission. Carrillo tries to twist out, and they fall before fumbling into a cover. That looked terrible.

Garza goes to the second rope and hits a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Garza sets up for a Wing Clipper, but Carrillo drops down. Garza powers into it, but Carrillo counters into a roll-up for the win out of nowhere.

Humberto Carrillo vs. Austin Theory w/ Zelina Vega

We come back from a very brief break to see Theory dominating Carrillo. Theory pounds on Carrillo for a bit before hitting a superplex. As soon as they hit the mat, Carrillo catches him with an inside cradle for the elimination!

Humberto Carrillo def. Austin Theory in the Last Chance Gauntlet Match

AJ Styles is out next. This is his first appearance since being buried alive by the Undertaker at WrestleMania 36. He’ll face Carrillo, next.
