INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EDO WOMEN IN POLITICS AND GOVERNANCE (IAEWPG) CALLS ON THE DG OF DSS TO INVESTIGATE AND TRUNCATE THE PROPOSED PLANS BY ADAMS OSHIOMOLE, DAN ORBIH AND OGBEIDE IHAMA TO DISRUPT THE MARCH 18TH HOA ELECTIONS IN EDO.

It is with great confidence that we write to draw your attention to the concocted plans of three senior political leaders of the state, in a proposed arrangement to dubiously deploy violence to disrupt the forthcoming House of Assembly elections slated to hold on Saturday 18th March 2023.

This trio; The former National Chairman of the APC, Comr. Adams Oshiomole, the current deputy vice chairman of PDP, Chief Dan Orbih and the member representing  Oredo federal constituency, Hon. Ogbeide Ihama has been singled out as prime organisers of this undemocratic plan.

Collectively, we have written out of fear and trepidation. We hope most sincerely that proper investigation will be done to avert the impeding dangers looming in the dark as we all come out on March 18th to cast our votes.

With all due respect sir, make no mistake about it; there has been preponderance of information that points clearly to the truths of these allegations. Taking into account that there has been an ongoing battle for the control of the state legislature. This alone has brought this forthcoming house of assembly elections to the front burner. Building unnecessary tension and attention.

We appreciate deeply your prompt interventions in past situations that had required proactive actions. And we’re confident that this case wouldn’t be an exception.

Edo is the heartbeat of the nation and a hotbed for socio-political violence. Please come to our aid and help save lives and properties.

Be assured of our highest regards as we hope for the best.

Rev. (Dr) Mrs Adesuwa Ehijomoh

President
