A new poster for the highly anticipated MonsterVerse series has been unveiled (via Bloody Disgusting), showing the emergence of a massive monster. The Kaiju series, titled Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, will soon hit Apple TV+ on November 17, 2023.
The poster didnât reveal anything about what to expect from the series, but it highlights the danger lurking in plain sight. The upcoming series â described as a âdramatic sagaâ â has some significantly bigger shoes to fill, considering the success of MonsterVerseâs previous installments. This includes Godzilla vs. Kong, which earned over $467 million at the global box office. You can check out the poster below.
WandaVision director Matt Shakman, who will also serve as the showâs executive producer, will helm Monarch: Legacy of Monstersâ first two episodes. It is co-created and executive produced by Chris Black and Matt Fraction.
With big names on board for the upcoming series, fans can expect a massive installment about larger-than-life monsters. Set to be the sixth installment in the MonsterVerse franchise, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters stars Kurt Russell as Lee Shaw, Wyatt Russell as the younger version of Lee Shaw, Kiersey Clemons as May, Anders Holm as Bill Randa, Ren Watabe as Kentaro, Mari Yamamoto as Keiko, Elisa Lasowski as Duvall, and Joe Tippett as Tim.
The official synopsis for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters reads as follows: âFollowing the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, âMonarch: Legacy of Monstersâ tracks two siblings following in their fatherâs footsteps to uncover their familyâs connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.â
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which will premiere with two episodes on November 17, will air ten episodes through January 12, 2024, exclusively on Apple TV+.
