We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Manager, Supply Chain OperationsLocation: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties
Procurement:


Co-ordinate procurement activities such as Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics and Material Handling, ensuring best value through exploring different purchasing options, whilst complying with the company’s procurement strategy.
Perform procurement cost analysis of materials and equipment based on location, time, consolidation points and developed procurement strategy to achieve desired results.
Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
Design or implement supply chain policies that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
Drive cost reduction efforts utilizing negotiation techniques, managing transportation costs, and minimize working capital while meeting company objectives.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

Logistics:


Supervise all logistics, distribution, and transportation process, ensuring efficient and optimized service delivery.
Approve and coordinate routes mapping and schedules.
Develop and monitor compliance to policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency within the order cycle.
Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies, and regulatory requirements.

Contract Management:


Negotiate prices, terms and delivery schedules with contractors and vendors / manufacturers to achieve cost reduction.
Monitor the status of live contracts and purchase orders.
Review and develop technical/commercial tenders to enhance the quality of tenders submitted to meet client’s specification and standards.

Vendor Management:


Build and maintain an effective database for tracking OEMs, OEM accredited distributors, stockists, and equipment suppliers.
Appraise vendor manufacturing ability of materials, equipment or supplies through on-site visits and measurements to determine product availability and terms of sales.
Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.

Tenders & Proposal Management:


Provide guidance and support on all major Tenders and service contracts; Develop and review technical/commercial tenders to enhance the quality of tenders submitted to meet client’s specification and standards.
Evaluate tenders and select providers in an objective and rigorous way, in line with established guidelines and principles.
Sell the strategy internally and to stakeholders.
Define and communicate a vision providing focus and energy for the sharing of knowledge.
Create and sustain inspiration, energy and focus over time.
Influence and implement commercial strategy to meet the winning price.
Define cost drivers and pricing.
Review of information about demands and derivation of supply and proposal preparations.
Clarification of bid conditions and management of Tender preparations.
Proactive monitoring of bids to ensure outcome is aligned with the organization’s success threshold.
Contribution in cost and price calculations.
Timely preparation and coordination of tenders to enable critical review and amendments prior to submission deadlines.
Manage the bid / proposal win strategy and ensure full traceability and rigour in executing the strategy.
Ensure that the strategy is continually reviewed to reflect changing circumstances.
Think ‘out of the box’ and advise on the implications of different options.

Warehousing & Inventory Management:


Analyse inventory, market, and delivery systems to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
Design or implement warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

Workflow Management:


Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
Prepare timely and accurate reports on Supply Chain Management activities and performance against established targets to the CEO.

Customer Relationship Management:


Maintain good relationship with internal and external customers and lead customer satisfaction projects.
Establish and manage a database of approved efficient Customs clearing agents.
Establish and manage a data base of approved efficient transportation companies.
Coordinate client inspections of facilities/equipment, material movement and clearing.
Research suppliers and maintaining strong business relationships.
Build and maintain effective and cooperative relationship with relevant government regulatory agencies.
Put in place Supply Chain strategies to improve the company’s competitive edge.

Performance Management:


Process Mapping of current supply chain processes, develop and implement improvement initiatives.
Manage Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to support revenue forecast, improve On
Time Delivery (OTD), eliminate material shortages, increase inventory turns, and identify production capacity constraints.
Select, train, evaluate and develop supply chain staff to facilitate the attainment of company objectives.
Develop supply chain Standard Operating Procedures and drive compliance.
Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
Ensure performance is adequately captured, analysed, and utilized for improvement activities.

Job Requirements Education


Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or another related field
MBA or M.Sc (Added Advantage)
Certification in Supply Chain Management required.
Certification in Project Management.

Experience:


Minimum of 12 years Supply Chain experience with at least 5 years in supervisory capacity in the oil and gas industry.
