Job Overview

We are looking for a baker, who will be in charge of preparing baked goods for sale to customers.
The baker is expected to create recipes, order ingredients and coordinate baking schedules to produce breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, pies, and other goods.

Job Description

Open the bakery early in the morning
CLean Kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream, and edible toppings, likes flowers
Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including doughnuts, meat pies, sausage rolls, croissants,cookies and sweet rolls
Prepare custom-made pastries based on customers’ preference(e.g. Birthday cakes, cupcakes)
Recommend recipes to renew our menu and attract more customers (e.g. gluten free or vegan desserts)
Ensure the proper storage of baking utensils
Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
Bake different bread types, like pretzels, sardine, coconut,baguettes and multigrain breads
Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
Mix various ingredient to create fillings for cakes and pastries (e.g. chocolate ganache,caramel Sauce and fruits)
Track food supplies and place orders, as needed.

Qualifications

3 – 6 years work experience.
Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
Flexibility to work in early morning shift
Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
Understanding of food safety practices
Experience with cake decoration techniques
Excellent time-management skills

RemunerationN70,000 – N90,000 Salary Monthly.
