Confronting The Spirit Of Kadesh-Barnea By Dr. D.K Olukoya

The MESSAGE:

This morning, we want to confront a strange spirit. God gave the Israelites a marching order “enter into the promised land.” It was a command. Instead, they sent men. The commandment of God was not “send men”, it was “go there!”. They disobeyed. And they made mistakes. All Bible readers will soon begin to realise that the Old Testament is a shadow while the New Testament is the substance. You find structures, personalities, kingdoms, thrones in the Old Testament which are physically not with us now, but are spiritually still standing.

Jezebel died many years ago and she is gone, but the spirit of Jezebel is still raging. Babylon was a kingdom that was destroyed many years ago, but the spirit of Babylon is still active now. So in the Old Testament, you find Jesus Christ concealed. In the New Testament you find Jesus Christ revealed. So, you have structures there that you think have disappeared but they are very much available.

Therefore, there are different spirits like the spirit of:

Cain: represents household wickedness.
Lot: represents satanic extra luggage.
Balaam: represents hired cursers.
Haman: stands for ethnic cleansing.
Gehazi: stands for covetousness.
Pisgah: means seeing but not obtaining.
Goliath: stands for boasting strong man.
Pharaoh: stands for those refusing to let God’s people go.
Herod: killing good things at infancy.
Saul: stands for stubbornness.
Absalom: stands for rebellion.

There is also the spirit of Kadesh Barnea. God had a plan for the Israelites. They were to take possession of the land that flows with milk and honey. All of a sudden, a particular power moved in upon them — the wasters — and began to waste them. The wasting took place inspite of the fact that there were pillars of fire and cloud guiding them. They were perishing under the guidance of the pillar of fire and cloud of smoke.

It is important to pray: O Lord, let me not perish under your umbrella. Judas was with Jesus. But the Bible said something very strange. It said “and satan entered into the heart of Judas”.

Yet Judas was with Jesus. It is time to really pray hard: O Lord, do not let me go forth with the workers of iniquity.

The Bible said “as many as turn aside after their wicked ways, the Lord will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity”. It is time to cry to the Lord: Lord, do not let me listen to the siren of the destiny diverters. Lord, do not let me arrive at a place where your blood will not avail for me. The Israelites were moving with the cloud and the fire was guiding them, yet they were being wasted.

The journey from Egypt to the Promised land was supposed to take 40 days, approximately 38 days even. But the wasters prolonged the journey.

I am praying for somebody here: every power prolonging stagnancy, poverty, I command them to die in the name of Jesus!

The 38/40 days journey became 40 years. The people travelled, got to the edge of Canaan and then reversed, and started wandering around in a place called Kadesh-barnea. Here they wandered for 38 years. This is a tragedy. 9.3 million Israelites went around a city for 38 years. That is the spirit of Kadesh Barnea.

By Kadesh-barnea, we mean:

A dog chasing its tail.
Rowing a boat that is already tied to the bank.
Going around in circles.
Repeated progress failures.
The garment of stagnancy.
Operating in the tail region of life.
Roaming around your breakthroughs.
Beating about the bush in life.
Roaming around in the market square of life without knowing what you want to get.
The power of merry go round.
A professional vagabond: no spirit of progress.
You cannot point to any tangible or solid thing that you have achieved.
You find yourself moving but no progress.
You find yourself standing at satanic check points.
You keep repeating attitudes that are bringing you failures.
You keep staying at satanic bus stops.
Drifting aimlessly in the sea of life. And this is a very serious matter.

There is a rage on now, of this spirit and this is why I am discussing this again. This is a strange spirit that you cannot joke with. It makes people to go around in circles and approaching the sea of life with a wormless hook so they cannot catch anything. This is where the tragedy lies. Many are still in the boat of their forefathers, and their ancestors. They are not out of it yet, though they think they are out of it. That is why it is a tragedy when you come to a prayer house like MFM and you do not focus on why you are there; so you now allow the spirit you did not totally destroy to come and destroy you.

Nobody comes to MFM by chance. Those who come, come by divine appointment. Some come because God sees that they will not be able to confront the enemies fighting them, because they need to pray. The enemy knows quite well that the power of God is in MFM.

This is why I am praying right now: by the covenant that established this mountain, every power that does not want you to go, shall perish in their red sea, in the name of Jesus! (A sevenfold Amen).

So any power fighting with MFM or its members, I feel so sorry for you; because it is not Dr. Olukoya you are fighting with. You are fighting with a power higher than that. You are fighting with angels that destroy without mercy. So this is why if you are member of MFM, follow all the teachings strictly. Do not do in and out. It will not work.

The Kadesh Barnea spirit is a spirit:

That has destroyed people.
That keeps people in the boats of their forefathers. The Israelites still sat down in the boats of their forefathers for 38 years, roaming around.

I am praying for somebody here: all the evil promises that your parents have made on your behalf, which you are not aware of, I destroy those promises now, in the name of Jesus.

But you see, God is a good God. He said “I will not leave you in darkness”. He also said “the secret things belong to the Lord our God”.

There is what you can call ‘Kadesh Barnea dreams’. Once you begin to have those kinds of dreams, you need to lose your temper at the altar of prayer against the enemies.

Kadesh-barnea dreams – dreams where you are:

Going back to old schools.
Sitting in kindergarten chairs when you are an adult.
Going back to that old house.
Going back to that apprentice shop where you learnt things many years ago.
Seeing dead relatives.
Wearing old clothes.
Always going back to your place of birth. And that has affected so many people.
Seeing yourself playing with the friends of your youth that you have not seen for years.
Climbing a mountain and getting nowhere.
Being in a vehicle that has no steering.
Being lost in a forest or wilderness.
Always seeing yourself in a particular spot in a particular building which does not exist in the physical realm.
Being held down by powerful forces. They overpower you, press you down and strangle you and sometimes it is a miracle that you wake up.
Taking an exam you already passed in the physical.
Seeing yourself back in primary school, secondary school, university in class with people of the past.

When somebody is in this group, for such a person:

He would keep missing their timing.
He would go to the right place at the wrong time.
Wrong positioning. You know, 90% of success is correct positioning.
Good things finish before their turn.
Bad things happen to helpers who want to help them.
Helpers suddenly become uncooperative.
Expectation and hope always dashed.
Will always be absent on day of favour.
He would be singled out for punishment, rebuke, query, suspension, victimisation, retirement.
He would be punished for others’ crimes and his reward, given to another.

Are you here, and you find out that:

A lot of your contemporaries have overtaken you, and you are in the same line of business? You should lose your temper in prayer here today.
You have difficulty in obtaining help? It is the Kadesh-barnea spirit.
You make unpardonable errors?
You experience last minute disappointments?
You have benefits but those benefits never come on time?
Despite your gifts and talents, people are always passing you by?
The effort you always put into something, is never commensurate with the result? It is the Kadesh-barnea spirit.
They are tying you down violently?
You apply to places, no response?
They sack you for no reason?
All doors seem closed?
You are always blamed for the fault of others?
You find things breaking down around you?
You are losing important documents?
You are always at the losing end? It means those spirits are upon you, they just want you to be moving around in circles.
As one problem is going, another is coming? These enemies are just around you, and just keep spoiling things.

The Lord told the Israelites “you have been too long on this mountain, get out of here, go to that land!” But they said “no. We will not go. We will send people”. And then they went to start fighting the war God did not ask them to fight. So when they were preparing for that war, Moses said “God is not with you. The spirit of Kadesh Barnea is still ruling you, do not go”. They went and they were terribly disgraced.

Today, you need to:

Surrender your life to Jesus.
Repent from every known sin.
Be ruggedly determined that your position must change for the better.
Engage in the prayer warfare we are going to engage in, in a few minutes. We have a lot of prayers to pray in very little time, so get ready.

PRAYER POINTS
[Before Ministration Prayers]

My Father, let me see the human beings that are working with satan to trouble my life, and disgrace them, in the name of Jesus.
Any power, drawing my blood, vomit it now! in the name of Jesus.
Every power, that has tasted my blood, will not stop vomiting, until they confess their sins, in the name of Jesus.
Blood of Jesus, cause confusion, in the stomach of witchcraft, in the name of Jesus.
Thou power of witchcraft monitor, your time is up, die in the name of Jesus!
Thou shrine of darkness, cursing my life, catch fire! in the name of Jesus.
There will be no peace, for every troubler of my Israel, by the power in the blood of Jesus! [Shout this 3 hot times].
I cause confusion, in the blood bank of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
Jesus! Fire! Holy Ghost Fire! [Shout this 3 hot times]
Those who believe in charms against me, shall collapse before me, in the name of Jesus.
I will rise up, they shall go down, in the name of Jesus!
All those who trust in idols against me, shall be put to shame, in the name of Jesus.
Let their poison, backfire right now, in the name of Jesus!
Let their night birds, be massacred by the angels of God, in the name of Jesus!
[Shout this 7 times and put in what you want]:
Every charm working against my (business, career, etc), backfire, in the name of Jesus!
Street junction witchcraft, assigned against my progress, you are a liar, die in the name of Jesus!

Any sin in my life, anything that can hinder your purpose in my life today, O Lord forgive me, in the name of Jesus.
[Lay your hands upon your tummy]:
Battles that entered into my life, through my stomach, die, in the name of Jesus.
Any power, that wants me to die like this, die! in the name of Jesus.
Powers of repeated failure, I am not your candidate, die! in the name of Jesus.
Powers that are saying good things will not last in my life, before I leave this place, die! in the name of Jesus.
Strange walls surrounding my life, I pull you down! in the name of Jesus.
Powers gathering together, to watch my shame, you shall gather together to celebrate me, in the name of Jesus!
Powers gathered together to mock me, you shall gather together to congratulate me, in the name of Jesus.
My days of celebration, stolen from me, come back! in the name of Jesus.
Every covenant of my father’s house, negotiating how far I will go in life, I am not your candidate, die! in the name of Jesus.
Every demonic clock, counting my time backwards, catch fire, in the name of Jesus!
Powers that stopped my parents, you cannot stop me, die! in the name of Jesus.
Ocean divider, Way Maker, change my story to glory, in the name of Jesus.
[Pray this 3 aggressive times]:
Good doors closed against me, favour of God, open them for me now, in the name of Jesus.
Every witchcraft embargo on my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
Thou power of Kadesh-barnea, over my life, die! in the name of Jesus.
