Job Title: Entry Level Procurement & Logistics Assistant (NYSC)
Location: Abuja (FCT)Employment Type: NYSC
We are looking for a smart and tech-savvy CorpMember (Males only) currently serving in Abuja to support and assistthe Procurement and Logistics Officer with activities that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations.
Undertake local purchasing in accordance with the company’s Procurement Policy and Operations Handbook standard
You will work closely with a range of partners such as manufacturers, medical equipment distributors, and other NGOs across various projects and programs.
Research potential vendors
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g., on orders and costs.)
Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
He will be responsible in supporting toinspect, certify and receive goods and services delivered by vendors
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
B.Sc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field (Desired)
Good communication skills, able to communicate clearly and appropriately
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Awareness of international development and global health issues, current trends and priorities
Excellent IT skills (particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and/or the Google suite equivalents)
Basic Understanding of supply chain procedures (Desired)
Basic knowledge of vendor sourcing practices i.e., researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors (Desired).
Ability to prioritise tasks and work to competing deadlines
Excellent written and spoken English
