We are Prosper Robotics, founded in 2021 in the UK. We have built a robot that has two arms and can do many tasks that a human can do. For example, tidy a bedroom / kitchen, pick up clothes, cut fruit and vegetables. Our mission is to create lots of happiness by making homes feel like a 5 star hotel, through a household robot which takes care of all the details. To help explain better, using a camera on the front of our robot, we have built a virtual reality (VR) app that replicates what it can see from a live camera into a 3D environment. The robot can then be controlled using VR which tries to copy the movement of your hands when using our app.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Remote Operator (Human Controlled Robots)

Job Summary

• We are looking for a remote operator to control our household robot using these VR headsets.
• By working with us, we will first train you on how to operate the robot. You will learn how to drive it, how to use the cameras and lastly, how to use your robotic arms and grippers.
• We will then help you learn new tasks so that you are ready to operate the robot in customers homes.

Requirements

• Good communication both listening and speaking in English.
• Good microphone and headset quality it is important that we can hear what you are saying clearly so that you can describe any issues.
• Somebody that is comfortable with new technology and interested in this a bonus if they also play video games
• Availability to start ASAP

What the job involves:

• Being one of the first people to operate our robots
• Learn to complete household tasks with a robot using VR headset
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• 10 – 6pm (UK time, BST)
• Opportunity to scale with a new industry and be the first remote operator for our robot!
