Former Leeds United goalkeeper, Paddy Kenny has admitted that new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could be looking to raid Ajax this summer.
Kenny said it would not surprise him if two Ajax players join Man United this summer because Ten Hag already knows and trusts them as he looks to improve his squad ahead of next season.
Ten Hag was recently appointed as Man United manager, joining the Red Devils from Ajax.
The Dutchman inherited a Man United squad that finished in the sixth position last season from Ralf Rangnick.
“It’s nice for a manager to have trust in you. I had it with Neil Warnock, he took me absolutely everywhere. Harry Redknapp used to do it back in the day. Managers like to be surrounded by players they know and players they can trust,” Paddy told Football Insider.
He added, “They know those players can do a job when they are asked, so it will be interesting to see if they do get those players from Ajax over the coming weeks.
“It would not surprise me if one or two came because the manager would know exactly what he is getting.”
Meanwhile, Man United have been linked with Ajax winger, Antony, and Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, who played under Ten Hag during their time at Ajax.
