READ: Exodus 15:10-11

  1. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
  2. Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Romans 15:1-33, Psalms 105-106

MESSAGE:

Jesus being called Wonderful means He is full of wonders. A wonder is an unexpected event that leaves your mouth wide open. God performed a wonder for the children of Israel when they came face to face with the Red Sea. He told Moses to lift his rod and the sea parted into two. This was a pleasant wonder.

The Egyptians too experienced a type of wonder. They must have been amazed at how the Red sea parted for the Israelites before giving hot chase, but met with their doom in the process. The sea closed up on them and they all drowned. What an unpleasant wonder this was for the enemies of Gods children. I decree that every unrepentant enemy that doesn’t want you to fulfil your glorious destiny will experience unpleasant wonders henceforth, in Jesus’ name.

Has anyone written you off because there’s nothing promising about your life? I decree that your life will begin an upward movement and God will make you an amazing wonder, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord Jesus, please make me a wonder to my world.

HYMN: Now We Thank We All Our God

  1. Now thank we all our God
    with heart and hands and voices,
    Who wondrous things hath done,
    in whom His world rejoices;
    Who from our mothers’ arms
    hath blessed us on our way
    with countless gifts of love,
    and still is ours today.
  2. O may this bounteous God
    through all our life be near us,
    with ever joyful hearts
    and blessed peace to cheer us,
    to keep us in His grace,
    and guide us when perplexed,
    and free us from all ills
    of this world and the next.
  3. All praise and thanks to God
    the Father now be given,
    the Son and Him who reigns
    With them in highest heaven
    the One Eternal God,
    whom heaven and earth adore;
    for thus it was, is now,
    and shall be evermore.
