Rangers manager, Abdullahi Maikaba has said the ability of his players to keep to game plan gave them a platform for victory in the Federation Cup quater-final.

The Coal City outfit defeated an impressive Doma United side 1-0 at the Ondo Sports Complex, Akure, on Sunday to secure a place in the semi-final.

An 80th minute strike from Chidiebere Nwobodo maintained Rangers chase for a seventh Federation Cup title.

Maikaba boasted that with this victory Rangers are ready to face any opponent.

β€œWe stuck to our game plan which gave us the desired victory and a ticket to the semi-finals of the competition,” an elated Maikaba told the club’s media.

β€œIt was a good game against a determined and difficult opponent but we shall continue to build on the newfound form of the team and work towards being crowned the Federation Cup champions for this year.

β€œWe are prepared to face any side and fear no foe but respect every team.”

Rangers will take on Plateau United in the semi-final.
