He believes that Tierney is one player the Gunners should rely on to win the Premier League this season.

Arsenal are leading the race with eight-point clear of Manchester City in the table.

The Gunners’ confidence is growing game after game as they look forward to winning their first league title in 19 years.

However, they have some mountains to climb with Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle and home clashes against Chelsea and Brighton all lined up.for them.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been manning the right-back position for the Gunners so far this season but Lennon thinks that the manager could actually bench the Ukraine star in favour of the more defensively minded Tierney.

“I watched him play left centre-half for Scotland against Spain and he was outstanding,” Lennon told Old Firm Derby betting.

“I like Zinchenko and I think he is a fabulous player, but I’m not convinced he’s as good a defender as Kieran.

‘”Kieran is more of a dynamic player who drives teams up the pitch.”
