MEMORISE: Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Isaiah 40:26

READ: Psalms 19:1-6

  1. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
  2. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
  3. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
  4. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
  5. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
  6. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 9:1-43, Job 16-18

MESSAGE:

Everyone perceives God in a certain way which is supported by the Scripture that says We know in part and understand in part” (1 Corinthians 13:9 ). This means that no one can fully comprehend the bigness of God (lol). He has no beginning and no end. In fact, the more you think you know Him, the more you realize you don’t really know so much about Him. This is why Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10 that his innermost desire was to know Jesus Christ, despite all the revelations and encounters that he already had of and with Him.

God is too big for the human mind to comprehend. Isaiah 40:12-18 says He has a scale in His hand with which He measures the seas and oceans of the world. How big do you think that hand is? It also says that He calculates the sands of the earth in a measuring basket, weighs the mountains like Everest on scales and the hills in a balance. It also says the countries of the world are like a drop (of water) in a bucket before Him. Thus, if this God says all His plans for you are great (Jeremiah 29:11 ), why wouldn’t you just take a chill pill and enjoy life in the Holy Spirit? Rest assured that He will take care of you.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please reveal Yourself to me the more and strengthen my faith in You.

HYMN: O Worship The King

  1. O worship the King all glorious above,
O gratefully sing His power and His love:
our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendour and girded with praise.
  2. O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,
whose robe is the light, whose canopy space.
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form,
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.
  3. Thy bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
    It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
and sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.
  4. Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
in Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail.
Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end,
our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend!
  5. O measureless Might, ineffable Love,
While angels delight to hymn Thee above!
The humbler creation, though feeble their lays,
with true adoration shall lisp to Thy praise!
