READ: Matthew 28:18-19

  1. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
  2. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 7:44-60, Job 7-9

MESSAGE:

The gospel is the good news that Jesus came to die for mankind and reconcile him to God. You have been mandated as a child of God who has received salvation to share this truth with others. Unfortunately, one of the reasons people don’t do this is that they don’t want to interfere in other peoples lives, even when they see their peers going wayward or engaging in worldly pleasures, they stay silent. Would you rather have the blood of that person on your head if he or she goes to hell? God forbid! You must make it a point of duty to share your salvation experience with everyone you come in contact with.

Another reason people don’t share the gospel is that they are not sure whether they are born again or not. You see, the salvation experience is not based on the fact that you are from a Christian home or attend a particular Church, but on your encounter with Jesus Christ on a personal level. He saved you from sin and gave you a new life. If you have truly experienced this, you will not find it difficult to introduce Jesus to your relatives, friends, neighbours and everyone!

ACTION POINT:

If you’re not sure of your salvation, rededicate your life to God now and begin to share the gospel.

HYMN 10: MUST I GO AND EMPTY HANDED

  1. Must I go and empty-handed,
    Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
    Not one day of service give Him,
    Lay no trophy at His feet?

CHORUS
“Must I go and empty-handed?”
Must I meet my Saviour so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him,
Must I empty-handed go?

  1. Not at death I shrink or falter,
    For my Saviour saves me now;
    But to meet Him empty-handed,
    Thought of that now clouds my
    brow.
  2. Oh, the years in sinning wasted,
    Could I but recall them now,
    I would give them to my Saviour,
    To His will I’d gladly bow.
  3. Oh, ye saints, arouse, be earnest,
    Up and work while yet ’tis day;
    Ere the night of death o’er take thee,
    Strive for souls while still you may.
