One of Us is Lying Season 2

The teen thriller, One of Us is Lying received immense popularity after releasing on Netflix in February this year. Global fans of TV were able to see the Peacock original show months after its release online and fans from all over the world discovered the murder mystery based on the popular books written by Karen M. McManus. The two-part novel titled ‘One of Us is Lying’ and ‘One of Us is Next’ inspired the teen thriller and now international fans are waiting to see what went down after the end of Season 1.

The show is based on the two-part novel and focuses on the mysterious death of a Bayview High School student Simon Kelleher while he was in detention with of his classmates, Nate, Bronwyn, Cooper and Addy. With the four students as prime suspects in his murder, Simon sends them messages seemingly from the dead forcing them to reveal their secrets.

Nate is arrested for Simon’s murder despite being innocent and Bronwyn who has fallen in love with him tells her family that she wants to help him because he is innocent of the crime. She and the other three manage to collect evidence about Simon’s true killer and it is discovered that Jake, Addy’s boyfriend was behind this all along.

Season 1 ends with Jake’s death but it is still not revealed who killed him and the four suspects are joined by Janae, Simon’s best friend. Together, the five make up a lie stating that Jake had fled to Mexico. They get rid of Jake’s body by dumping it into the ocean but the game continues as someone has caught wind of their involvement in Jake’s death when they get a message from “Simon” asking them to do as he says or their secret will be out.

Where Can I Watch One of Us is Lying?

One of Us is Lying was originally released on Peacock for fans around the USA as well as other fans from certain parts of Europe. However, Netflix has already acquired the international streaming rights of One of Us is Lying. The second season of the show will be dropping internationally in November, a month after its original Peacock TV release.

One of Us is Lying Season 2 Release Date

Though the show has already been released online on Peacock back on the 20th October, many international fans are waiting for One of Us is Lying to drop on Netflix.

Just like its first season, season 2 will soon be released globally on Netflix almost a month after its official release. With that in mind, expect this one to release globally on Wednesday 16th November.

Expect Season 2 of this Peacock and Netflix series to sport each episode being roughly 44–52 minutes long. Also expect episodes to drop with subtitles too.

How Many Episodes Will One of Us is Lying Season 2 Have?

It has been revealed that the second season of One of Us is Lying will have a total of 8 episodes just like its last season. All eight episodes of the second season of the show will be dropping on the same day.

The show is set to feature most cast members from the first season including Cooper van Grootel as Nate, Annalisa Cochrane as Addy, Marianly Tejeda as Bronwyn, Chibuikem Uche as Cooper and Jessica McLeod as Janae as well as Melissa Collazo as Maeve. There is not much that the trailer reveals that Barrett Carnahan and Mark McKenna will be reprising their roles as Jake and Simon but since Mark was a part of Season 1 despite his death, there is a possibility that Barrett will be a part of the new season despite his death.

However, there is a possibility that other actors who were seen and loved in the popular original show will make an appearance in the upcoming spin-off show.
