Noting that conditions for acting may be harsh for beginners, Edochie assured that that the “hustle with pay”.

The actor gave this advice in an Instagram post on Thursday night.

The father-of-five advised new actors to love the just b and be serious with it, adding that acting was a serious business and should not be taken as a joke.

Edochie wrote, “Dear upcoming actors and actresses, don’t worry the hustle will pay.

“The conditions may be harsh in the beginning but it always pays in the end. Love the job. Be very serious with it.

“Acting is very serious business, it’s not a joke.

“Anytime you get the opportunity to play a role, just know that you’re telling the story of someone out there. So you have to tell it convincingly.”

The 40-year-old further advised his junior colleagues to watch lots of movies, read books, and study senior colleagues on the industry.

“Watch lots of films, foreign and home made. Read lots of books. Study your senior colleagues and learn from them,” Edochie advised.

He then harped on the importance of training in the acting craft, assuring new actors that their breakthrough “will surely come.

The filmmaker said, “Get training. Equip yourself with as much knowledge of the craft as possible.

“And when the role comes, act like your life depends on it. The breakthrough you seek will surely come.”

This is not the first time Edochie has addressed up-and-coming actors.

In March, Edochie had lamented the attitude of some up-and-coming actors, stating that some of them had no respect their senior colleagues.
