Will Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis break the bank for another Super Eagles star?

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a difficult businessman, but he may have to pay top dollar for another Super Eagles star this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Napoli’s most expensive signing is Victor Osimhen, who they paid Lille €78.9 million for in 2021. After Osimhen, is Hirving Lozano, who they acquired from PSV for €50 million in 2020.
However, the Partenopei might have to spend well over €50 million to land one of their Nigerian targets this summer.

Aside from Napoli, he has been linked with clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus, but Napoli looks like a likely destination.
Earlier, Soccernet.ng reported that Napoli were willing to pay Atalanta €50 million for Lookman. But that is significantly lower than Atalanta’s asking price of €60 million.

La Dea can be very stubborn when it comes to letting their best legs leave, and they will likely do the same with Lookman.
But according to Napoli Magazine, even though Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a shrewd businessman, he could eventually sanction the €60 million move, as he believes in Lookman.
Moreover, they will have a lot of money to spend, following their Scudetto win and the imminent sale of Victor Osimhen.
Nonetheless, the Partenopeans would have some serious convincing to do if they want to get Lookman. The Nigerian attacker would likely fancy a move abroad. As such, his Italian suitors Juventus and Napoli might be fall back options.
