Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at the weekend said that the non-chalant attitude of his immediate past predecessor, Dr. , to monumental projects inherited from the past, had marred the progress of the state.

Akeredolu disclosed this while receiving leaders of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), who dumped Mimiko to join the ruling All Progressives Congress () ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship poll.

The ZLP leaders, who are from the Ese-Odo home-town of the deputy governor and candidate of the party, , said they chose to support Akeredolu’s re-election to enable him finish all the projects in the state.
